Great Eggspectations

It was Saturday morning. All I wanted was to do was scramble an egg and eat it all by myself, along with a biscuit and some fresh cantaloupe.

            Scrambled_eggs

Here's what happened instead.

First, get your no-stick frying pan ready.

            Ready_the_pan

Crack the eggs into a bowl. Don't let any shell get in there.

            Crack_the_egg

OK, if some gets in, get it out.

            Get_it_out

Use a fork to stir the eggs.

            Stir_the_eggs

Don't spill any.

           Dont_spill_it

OK, if you spill it, clean it up.

            Clean_it_up

Cleaning up is the downside of cooking, son. Oh, you're going to let your sister finish? OK. Add salt and pepper to taste.

            Salt_and_pepper

Put the frying pan over a low flame and spray on some cooking spray. Don't spray too much.

            Cooking_spray

That's too much. Carefully pour the eggs into the pan. If you are 5 years old and this is your first time making eggs, but you have made pancakes before, you might pour them so they look like pancakes.

            Pour_them_in

Stir gently so as not to overcook and make them hard. Good scrambled eggs are soft and squishy.

            Cook_the_eggs_2

Well done. Now, I'll hold the hot pan while you slide the eggs onto a plate.

            Plate_them

Have a taste and say, "Mommy, these eggs are slammin'!"

            Dang_good_eggs

Sit down and enjoy your scrambled eggs, biscuit and cantaloupe.

            Eat_the_eggs

I'll eat dry toast. I love you.

Hilarious! And just too cute. Thanks for the smile today.

This looks so familiar. I had dry toast today, too!
